Family Services Illawarra Limited (FSIL) trading as Family Services Australia today announced its expansion of its multi-disciplined community service streams with the addition of Disability Management Services (DMS) support, funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services under its Disability Employment Services program.
Since 2016, FSIL has increased its client reach to provide integrated care from 2 to 27 site locations across NSW and QLD. New FSIL site locations include two in Albion Park, Corrimal, Dapto, Milton-Ulladulla, Nowra, Shellharbour and Wollongong in the Illawarra-Shoalhaven NSW; Murwillumbah, Pottsville, Tweed Heads South and Uki in Northern NSW; Biggera Waters, Helensvale, Nerang, Oxenford, Palm Beach, Robina and Southport on the Gold Coast, QLD; Boonah, Coominya, Fernvale, Goodna, Ipswich, Lowood, Redbank and Toogoolawah in South West QLD.
In response to FSIL’s continued recent expansion, Mr. Gary Jackson FSIL Managing Director and Company Secretary said, “Integrating Disability Management Services within our client service model will mean more client support services at their time of need”. Mr. Jackson further said, “Our clients with low to moderate life challenges offer tremendous ability and we look forward to providing a hand up in life through our generalist employment and specialist mental health services. Our collective service stream reach has recently grown from 20 to 65 staff with a long term forecast of more than 100 staff across our NSW and QLD sites.”
Mr. Jackson added, “The therapeutic benefits of employment and training are well-known and often at the heart of our trauma informed response to client and family challenges, wherever we have a presence. Developing more life options for our clients, including their inner happiness, is at the centre of our aim to keep clients safe, well strong and connected”.
Recently appointed to deliver its new DMS service stream, FSIL General Manager, Community Services, Ms. Sharlene Beikoff said, “It’s an honour and a privilege to work with FSIL and our local communities, Non-Government Organisations, industry partners and employers in delivering quality independent supported placement for our clients”. Ms. Beikofff added, “It is very exciting to bring more integrated service support to the community in the Illawarra, Tweed Heads, Gold Coast and Ipswich regions at the highest available service standards”.
