Family Services Illawarra has a new psychologist counselling service available at its Albion Park and Nowra Offices providing even more community support for domestic and family violence victims of crime.
FSA Managing Director Gary Jackson announced the appointment of psychologist Verena Matuska, he stated, “Nena is a career psychologist, she will be offering supportive and capacity building counselling services – up to 22 sessions which can be accessed without a mental health treatment plan or general practitioner referral.”
In accepting her new appointment, Ms Matuska said, “Delivering these much needed victims services response to domestic violence and trauma will enable me to provide a client-centred and progressive approach which is central to Family Services Australia’s values. I think this approach enables our clients towards a journey of connecting to a life with meaning again.”
FSA acknowledges the valuable funding support of the NSW Department of Justice.
