The Commonwealth Bank today donated valuable funding to assist resources for the Illawarra’s Park and Play community program. In accepting this donation, Family Services Illawarra Practice Leader of Early Intervention Lynne Schubert said, “This is great recognition from the CBA to buy resources for activities that young children and families in our community greatly appreciate.”

Park and Play is an outside field based early intervention program that offers child and play facilitation to local community families.

In recognition of this donation from the Commonwealth Bank, Family Service Illawarra’s CEO and Company Secretary, Gary Jackson said, “Our Park and Play program has reached more than 40,000 children and family members in the past ten years, offering critical support pathways at a comfortable setting in our local natural environment. Our Corporate Social Responsibility partners provide support that is very meaningful for our local community and staff, which we are very grateful for”.

Family Services Illawarra’s Park and Play program has been designed to break down family vulnerabilities such as isolation and to build relationships and attachments between children and their carer’s.
